What is smartetag?

Smartetag's are used to distinguish your bag or personal items that you value. The tags are made of stainless steel and are exclusive to us. Furthermore, our tags are available in four sizes and four colours and you may choose any combination that you wish. We use permanent laser marking for printing which will not rub off or fade.

Can I create my own design?

We encourage you to design your own masterpiece that is unique to you, Feel free to display your name, private details, company information, frequent flyer membership number, track & trace ID, QR code and dont forget to add an image design, but most importantly define what information you are comfortable with, just make it your own.

Please note: You can upload an image of your choice, the higher quality (300 dpi) the better, however we will not take responsibility for a pixelated image or with low resolution if the image provided by you was of low quality. Please refer to FAQ's "Assistance on Customised Design"

Vector Designs

Please note: We only accept Vector type designs in either Black or White. We do not accept dither images, photos, etc.

Generating & Applying a QR code

You may choose a free online QR code generator e.g., QR Planet https://qrplanet.com/#text or QR Generator https://qrgenerator.org/#text

Please Note: The QR code must be saved in;

Black colour QR code when applying to a "Gold, Rose Gold and Silver" tag

White colour QR code when applying to the "Black" tag

In both cases you must apply a transparent background

Once you have finalised your information you must save the QR code as a SVG (Vector) file on your device.

Return to the "Design site” and upload the QR code. Click on the QR file to apply it to the tag design.

Assistance on Customised Design

If you are in doubt you are welcome to contact us to help you and apply a design of your choice. In return we will send you an illustration sample of the design.

Please send us your design with the following requirements:

1. Dimensions: Design must not exceed

Apollo      35mm x 45mm

Athena     25mm x 45mm

Hermes    30mm x 55mm

Zeus         35mm x 65mm

2. We only laser mark in "Black" or "White" (Gold, Rose Gold and Silver tags) will be marked in "Black" and the (Black tag) we strive to provide a bright White colour and at times white laser marking may be substituted as a bright Grey, Silver metal colour or similar.

3. Design format: Min 300 DPI - png, jpg, svg or ai file (Preferably with a transparent or a white background only)

How do I attach the strap to a bag or item?

Every order comes with a strap and small screwdriver as to attach the strap to the bag or item. You will need to unscrew the two top screws from the strap.

At this point you may shorten the strap to your desired length if required by simply using scissors.

Place the strap through i.e. handle of the bag or item and then secure the strap by screwing it back on again.

Delivery

Please note: Shipping times are based on the time from collection and are intended to be indicative only. Smartetag cannot bear responsibility for circumstances beyond its control such as delays in clearing customs, payment approval and other such matters.

Please be advised, we are unable to deliver to PO BOX addresses of any kind as the couriers we use require a signature to confirm delivery.

If you refuse a shipment from Smartetag or do not take necessary steps to retrieve your shipment after we have attempted delivery at your nominated shipping address you are responsible for all costs involved including the original shipping charges, any import fees that are incurred on the package.

How long does it take to process my order?

We usually process and ship within 48 hours

How much is shipping?

Shipping prices will vary based on the items you have in your cart. You will also be able to check the shipping rate once you proceed to checkout (we will not charge you at this point).

After completing the billing and shipping address information in the indicated fields, the page will provide you with the shipping charges.

Can I change or cancel my order?

As long as your order has not been processed or shipped, we can make changes or to cancel your order.

To make changes please contact us at info@smartetag.com right away and include full order details at first contact as to request for changes of design or a refund.

I have an enquiry about my order?

If you wish to enquire about an order you have already made, please visit the Contact Us page. If you set up an account with us, you can also view the status of your order by clicking on 'My Account', then 'My Orders'.

Currency

Payments to Smartetag are processed in DKK. If your credit card requires currency conversion you may be charged exchange rates and transaction fees by your bank and/or payment gateway. This also applies for any other charges such as service fees, etc., from your financial institution, payment process or its partners.

Smartetag is not liable for these charges as they are not processed, or received by us.

Peace of mind for EU customers

Smartetag is individually customised, assembled and shipped within the European Union, therefore, there are no extra duties, customs fees or import duty charges to an EU address.

Non EU customers - Import Duty

If your order Goods from our site for delivery outside the EU, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. These costs are not included in the shipping charges and it's your responsibility. We do not issue any type of refunds for customs fees, shipping or any other cost.

We do not have a way of estimating customs fees, taxes, duties, etc. and we do not have control over the customs authorities in your country, so if you have specific questions about those charges, please, contact your local Customs office for additional information.

Refunds

Each tag is designed and sold is created by using permanent laser marking that is individually and customised based on your order.

Unfortunately such customised items cannot be returned due to the nature of personalised products as each tag is created and customised by you. Therefore, refunds are not available.

Marking Colour

We strive to provide a bright White colour and at times white laser marking may be substituted as a Bright Grey, Grey, Silver metal colour or similar.
